We're on a mission to understand Arabic social media

MARSAD was founded to create a comprehensive platform for analyzing and visualizing social media data across the Middle East and North Africa region.

Our Story

From research to innovation

MARSAD AI is a sub-project of the cluster “The Future of Digital Citizenship in Qatar: A Socio-Technical Approach,” funded by the Qatar Research, Development, and Innovation Council (QRDI) under grant NPRP14C-0916-210015. The MARSAD sub-project is led by Dr. Wajdi Zaghouani from Northwestern University in Qatar (NU-Q).

Our platform addresses a significant gap in existing social media monitoring tools by providing specialized support for various Arabic dialects, enabling researchers and institutions to gain valuable insights into online discourse across the MENA region.
